Production process

 

The bleached and tanned white leather sheet still has a gray feeling. In order to obtain high whiteness leather products, it must be treated with fluorescent whitening agent to make its surface absorb a layer of fluorescent whitening agent. The fluorescent whitening agent can absorb ultraviolet light in the sun, and then emit visible fluorescence in the blue purple light area, so that the gray feeling white leather sheet, such as blue fox skin, Tan sheep skin, pig skin, etc Lamb skin, rabbit skin, not only pure white color, good fastness, but also with the feeling of crystal clear and bright. This fluorescent whitening process overcomes the disadvantages of using the covering power of white pigment to improve the surface whiteness of leather, such as the surface coating is not resistant to friction, poor fastness, easy to fall off and so on.

 

The following is the general process flow of whitening leather with fluorescent brightener, which will change according to the variety of the bleached leather.

 

Leather → oxidation bleaching → reduction bleaching → whitening → washing → drying → flattening → finished product

 

Dip dyeing is usually used to whiten leather. The commonly used fluorescent brighteners are 4BK and vbl.
